Thank you for the post. I got here searching for Rayonics videos and information (with not so great luck).
ReplyDeletethank you thank you thank you!!! this show was a lifeline for me in Billings, MT in my high school years - and i appreciate the detailed information. Some faves: X, Andy & the Rattlesnakes, Rayonics, Plugz, Monitor, Brainiacs, Unknowns, DK's, Circle Jerks, Prefix, Cipher, Wild Kingdom, Levi Dexter & The Tribe, ... Some of the best (and worst lol) music of the era. Quite a tragedy what happened to Peter ivers. i have added some of this (with credit) to the corresponding youtube videos which are up. was going to put a direct link but i heard that is not acceptable on youtube (gets you marked as a spammer).
ReplyDeleteToo bad they took down the videos of New Wave Theater...we were one of the bands that got shown....

Too bad Night Flight no longer makes the videos available. I was the bassist for Western Heroes. These videos need to be seen both from a historical perspective as well as a documentation of the bands themselves. Our guitarist sent me a copy of us and might be made available.
